Steelheads win in shootout 5-4

The Idaho Steelheads defeated the Wichita Thunder Friday by a score of 5-4. Wichita forward Kyle Crncovic gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead at 1:32. Idaho would respond with a goal of their own from Liam Malmquist. But just 48 seconds into the second period Lucus Vanroboys made it 2-1 Wichita. Brendan Hoffmann would tie the score four minutes later. The Thunder would register another goal shortly after as Peter Bates scored his 6th of the season. Hoffmann would get his second goal of the game to tie the score again. Idaho would have their first lead of the game as Jaden Shields scored his first of the season. But Jack Bar netted a shorthand tally late in the game to tie the score. After overtime could not decide a winner the game went into the shootout and Chris Dodero scored the shootout winning goal.
